We have all been on the road trips across the United States, along the way you have the strech of road that seems to be nothing but farmland, corn, or just open land. Our best experience when we are on long road trips is to find a stop over where you can walk around and even stay the evening. This breaks up the drive, as well as allows you to get time experience the local area.
Here are our top 5 places to stop over on Interstate 95 between New York and Florida.
Savannah Georgia
– Savannah is in the northern part of Georgia right after you leave South Carolina into Georgia. There are many differnent hotels especially after you drive through the 2 lane section of South Carolina between South of the Border on the north side of the state and the south. We found that EXIT.. is the best since it has a select of hotels and restaurants such as the Quality Inn, Best Western, Holiday Inn Express.
Newark, Delaware
– Newark, Delaware is a college town right near the University of Delaware. We found a convenient Holiday Inn Express and Suites right off the i95 and close to a Mall which had a number of restaurants. You can never go wrong with their free breakfast.
Florence, South Carolina
- Florence is one of those beautiful towns off of i95 where people consider the half way point between New York and Florida, I actually think that the half way point is more north in North Carolina but that is what I hear from colleagues.
